Rewind

Well, folks, it looks like 2009 is coming to a close. Do you have big plans for tonight?

We got nuthin'.

T will be working in the store, heading up some inventory on New Years Day, so he doesn't want to stay out late tonight. Even if he were able to sleep in tomorrow, his antisocial proclivities would keep him from attending any fun soirĂ©es with me tonight. Bummer.

I may see if I can spike his drink enough to get him to watch Glee on DVD with me 'til just before the ball drops in Times Square.

Stop laughing. That's the only way I'd ever get him to watch it.

Other than that, I'll try to spend some time today thinking about my goals for 2010.

Speaking of goals, one of my goals for my blog in 2009 was to try to grow my blog and post every weekday.

This was my first year of blogging (I don't count the random smattering of three posts from 2008), and I definitely met my goals. I've gone from probably 3 to 270+ Followers. That's a big deal for a girl who has a "blog about nothing." I don't exactly fit in a niche because I blog about so many random things.

I have all of YOU to thank for that. Your kind comments, emails, and general encouragement have really boosted my confidence this year. I feel like I can take steps in 2010 to continue expressing myself in my little corner of the web.

In case you're new, here's a little smattering of my favorite randomness from 2009.

  1. Oh Amanda, I adore your little blog about nothing. Mine is pretty much about nothing too. Look at us, we're the Seinfeld's of blogland. Maybe one day (sooner rather than later I hope) we'll be rich too. I've enjoyed your blog so much this past year and I can't wait to see what 2010 brings. We're less than 6 hours away here in Germany! Happy New Year!

  2. PS. I would stay up all night watching GLEE with you. I just want to run my hands through Mr. Shuster's hair and watch Sue make wise cracks about any and everything. GLEE rocks!

  3. "Nothing" and everything--that's what life's about, isn't it?

In my opinion, you are one of the very best members of the blogging community.

Every blessing to you and yours. Here's to a wonderful 2010!

    Love,
    Richella

  5. Your blog is probably my very favorite. When I have 5 min. after school to read a blog or two, I scroll down to see what you've posted for the day and skip over most of the others in my reader. I love your funny stories, your craft ideas, and pictures of your two sweet girls.

Have fun watching "Glee." I saw a small bit of one episode and loved it. I know that Dave would never watch it with me and I'd have to really spike more than one drink to talk him into it!!!

We're going to a dinner/dance tonight and I'm wearing another bargain dress. I'll post on the evening tomorrow.

I love to hear your feedback! Please feel free to leave comments...just don't send me spam asking me to buy stuff off your website! I've got three kids and no money to purchase your magic weight-loss pill or bust enhancement, or whatever else you might be selling. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you! :)
